1926

Small prayer meetings were being held at the home of a local resident, Clara Wallen on 41 East Vine Street in Millville.

1928

Charles and Mabel Snyder responded to the call to lead this small group of believers. The little congregation soon moved into Whitaker Hall, above a store at 131 North High Street in that same small town. God made it possible for them to purchase, with just a small down payment, this building, which was a two story stone-faced edifice at 411 North High Street.

May 1957

The Reverends Gerritt and Anita Kenyon, who had been pastoring the Assembly of God in Hamburg, New York, were asked to temporarily lead the congregation in Millville, until a permanent pastor could be found.

November 1957

The Reverends Gerritt and Anita Kenyon were invited to remain as full-time pastors. They decided to stay and serve the Gospel Lighthouse congregation, which later took the name First Assembly of God.

The present sanctuary was completed and dedicated to the Lord

2006

We celebrated 50 years of Gerritt and Anita Kenyon serving as the pastors of First Assembly of God. Shortly thereafter, they retired from that position.

2007

For the first time in half a century, we received someone new to pastor First Assembly. Joe Green and his wife, Fran, three teenage daughters, and two young sons arrived to take on the challenge of pastoring a church for the first time after having served as missionaries for several years.
